Project OutFox Edit: Matriarch
Hello everyone! :D Matriarch is another song from Rift of the NecroDancer that I really wanted to chart. I love that song, it's intense and epic, like what I love to see Jules doing. It's also one of the songs that I can very easily cut in a very reasonable length, so it was a no-brainer to chart it. For this simfile, I wanted to focus more on crossovers and footswitches, since I thought those patterns would fit very well with the instrumentation, even if it means making the chart harder. Even then, I nerfed it so the drills and the run near the end are not too intense for the difficulty that I wanted to set. Thank you, Brace Yourself Games and the music artists, for creating this game. I have a blast with it! Main info: - Name: Matriarch - Artist: Jules Conroy - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 4 None Basic - Level 8 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 14 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 17 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (Music Cut) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Perfect - Includes a jacket and a CD title. Project OutFox Edit: RAVEVENGE
Hello everyone! :D RAVEVENGE is another song from Rift of the NecroDancer that I really wanted to chart. This might actually be my favorite song from the entire game, because not only it is incredible, it is the first song that I practiced and passed on Impossible level. For the Expert chart, I wanted to reference the Impossible chart from the original game by reusing similar patterns and by making it the only chart at double tempo. Rift of the NecroDancer is very flexible with tempo changes for each difficulty, and I'm happy to see that OutFox can do the same. Yay! Thank you, Brace Yourself Games and the music artists, for creating this game. I have a blast with it! Main info: - Name: RAVEVENGE (ft. Aram Zero) - Artist: Alex Moukala - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 3 None Basic - Level 7 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 11 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 16 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (Music Cut) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Perfect - Includes a jacket and a CD title. Project OutFox Edit: DELTA ASCENDER
Hello everyone! :D Recently, I wanted to revise the playlist that I had on my phone by downloading more songs from DDR, various artists and albums that I bought. One of the artists who I have been following for a while and chatted with is Rilegoat/Riley. While checking their work, I was reminded of a song that they made for a game they developed. The song was awesome, and I was in a great mood, so I felt very inspired on making a simfile for it. From the start, I expected this to be a boss song for my simfile collection. However, I did not expect my ideas to generate a high Stream value for the Challenge chart, making it a potentially tiring song to play. Still, I decided to stick with my ideas, but managed to nerf it slightly to make it reasonable. It is my most recent lv.18 chart, so with the experience I gained, I hope to do a better job at making them. Please, share some love with Riley. They are a great artist. Project OutFox Edit: Amalgamaniac
Hello everyone! :D A few years ago, I discovered the game Rift of the NecroDancer in a cool way. I started to follow The8BitDrummer because he was associated with The Runaway Guys, and his content is fun to watch. One day, he drummed over the song Overthinker, and I got curious about the game. I checked the game, and I got interested. I tried the demo when it was out in 2024, and that consolidated my interest. Today, I bought and played the game, and I can confidently say that it's one of my favorite rhythm games ever! Amalgamaniac is one of the 3 songs featured in the 2024 Steam demo. It was probably my favorite of the bunch, though the other songs were also excellent. Later, I got the desire to chart a few songs from the game because I was very sold by it. Luckily, Amalgamaniac is one of the songs that I could easily cut under 2m30. I wanted to upload it at the same time as Overthinker, so there it is. Thank you, Brace Yourself Games and the music artists, for creating this game. I have a blast with it! Project OutFox Edit: Gravity Collapse (Supra's Edit)
Hello everyone! So, one of the new songs from DDR WORLD, Gravity Collapse, got into my head very hard. This is so far my favorite song in that mix. Despite a good lv.15 chart for the Challenge difficulty, I thought that the chart was understepped in some parts (and also I had to get the song out of my mind), so I wanted to make an edit for it. Turns out the song was way understepped than I expected! There were many more sections that could be filled with 24th steps, especially the end section, so that increased the difficulty to a lv.17. I also thought that I could add a few more scroll gimmicks to complete certains ections. Main info: - Name: Gravity Collapse (Supra's Edit) - Artist: X-END - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 3 None Basic - Level 6 Basic - Level 6 Difficult - Level 10 Difficult - Level 10 Expert - Level 13 Expert - Level 13 Challenge - Level 17 Missing Challenge - MP3 Quality: Perfect (High Quality) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Generic - Includes a jacket and a CD title. Project OutFox Edit: Frame Skip
Hello everyone! :D I heard about DeBisco from the DDR XX server, where they commissioned him for a song named Lucid. When I found out about him, I simply started to follow him to increase my library of songs, but with more releases that became better and better, I got a real interest for his music. Very friendly person with great talent! You should follow him on Youtube, Bandcamp or SoundCloud. One of his releases, Frame Skip, was a commission for the fan project Sound Voltex ALPHA, which consists of a smaller and more portable version of the Konami arcade game Sound Voltex. Such a hype and strong song for that rhythm game! I really wanted to add it in DDR, so I made a simfile for it. I lost motivation halfway through, but the excitement of seeing it becoming real was enough to finish it. Main info: - Name: Frame Skip - Artist: @DeBisco - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 4 None Basic - Level 7 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 12 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 15 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (High Quality) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Generic - Includes a jacket and a CD title. If someone wants to make the Double charts for each difficulty for me, I would be very pleased. Project OutFox Edit: Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (a man after midnight)
Hello everyone! :D For a time, when I went to the gym this year, there was a coach who would put remixes of popular songs during the workout. One of the songs was Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight), originally by ABBA. When I was looking for the remix on Youtube, I landed on that remix by Syzz, which was much more suitable for a rhythm game. Unfortunately, real life and some bad planning slowed down the process of making the simfile. Initially, I wanted to make the Expert chart a lv.14 and the Difficult chart a lv.12 (you can see I was very wrong on that), which discouraged me. Also, I didn't have that much fun making the higher charts, which led me to find more fun projects to do instead. In the end, I managed to find my motivation and make something decent for it, trying to not overdo the patterns so I don't make the charts accidentally harder again. This is one of the few simfiles from the Normal Songs category that has higher levels from usual. However, with DDR A3 and all its lv.18 charts on licenses, everything is possible! Main info: - Name: Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (a man after midnight) - Artist: Syzz - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 4 None Basic - Level 8 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 13 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 16 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (Music Cut) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Generic - Includes a jacket and a CD title. Project OutFox Edit: Moons
Hello everyone! :D I followed a timelapse series of someone recreating the Dorney Park in OpenRCT2, and that person used music from the Youtube Library in their videos. One fo those songs was Moons by Patrick Patrikios. Normally, I would not try to find songs to chart from that source, however I liked the song, and it got stuck in my head. So, my cure to get it out was to chart it. Once again, I purposely went for easier charts because the song was slow and chill. Main info: - Name: Moons - Artist: Patrick Patrikios - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 1 None Basic - Level 4 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 7 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 11 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (Music Cut) - Banner Quality: Custom Made - Background Quality: Custom Made - Includes a jacket and a CD title. Project OutFox Edit: Samba de Janeiro
Hello everyone! :D I knew there were remixes of that song in Dance Dance Revolution, but they were pretty average. However, Samba de Amigo: Party Central was released a few months ago, and I learned that the original version of Samba de Janeiro was a staple of that series. So, I got exposed to that version, which is much more of a banger. I also though it has better rhythms, so it inspired me to chart it. The song is old and sounds like it was live recorded using a metronome to keep a relatively constant tempo. So, I needed to make a huge sync job, which was a pain and not my forte. Fortunately, the bass drum was pretty crisp, so it helped me sync most of the song. Apologies if some sections are not completely on sync, but I really don't want to come back to sync it again. Main info: - Name: Samba de Janeiro - Artist: Bellini - Simfile Progress Information: Single Double Beginner - Level 2 None Basic - Level 5 Missing Basic Difficult - Level 9 Missing Difficult Expert - Level 12 Missing Expert - MP3 Quality: Perfect (Music Cut) - Banner Quality: Cut From Photo - Background Quality: Cut From Photo - Includes a jacket and a CD title. If someone wants to make the Double charts for each difficulty for me, I would be very pleased.
